+ Steve Webb
Steve is Chairman of Interactive Medica and since founding the company in 2002 with CEO Richard Jenkinson, Has been responsible for driving forward the company’s business and commercial strategy. Deploying many different initiatives, including private marketing and a partnership programme of global like-minded companies that Interactive Medica collaborates with, Interactive Medica is growing soundly.
Steve spent 15 years of his business experience in the Life Sciences industry holding senior positions in Marketing and General Management. However starting Interactive Medica was a project he formulated with Richard whist he was Senior International VP for Dendrite Inc. The territories under his remit at Dendrite included Japan, the Far East and Europe and it became clear that a fundamental change in the way Marketing applications were deployed was needed. Throughout his career Steve has been an evangelist for new technologies and the possibilities that they can open up for the Life Sciences industry.
Steve is a fellow of Chartered Accountants and a member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing. A keen sailor and tennis player he lives on the South Coast of the UK with his wife where he enjoys peaceful and unrivalled views of the Solent.
+ Richard Jenkinson
Richard has been CEO of Interactive Medica since founding the company in 2002 with Chairman Steve Webb. He spearheads the company’s growth strategy and is responsible for identifying new market opportunities. Richard also leads the company’s charge for ongoing innovation ensuring that software design is aligned with client needs.
Richard has been involved in Life Sciences since 1989, previously as Financial Director for IMS Health. Prior to that he worked at Walsh International, where he met Steve. In 2002, the two decided that the Pharma companies could benefit from a company that could offer a fresh approach to sales force effectiveness and client relationship management, leveraging new web-based technology with a “can do” attitude.
Richard has a BA in Economics and Statistics from The University of York. He lives and works in Madrid, and is married with two children. He is a passionate Real Madrid supporter, where he is a season ticket holder.
+ Damien Pool
Damien Pool is Marketing Manager at Interactive Medica having joined the company in 2008. He built the company’s marketing programme from the ground up and oversees all marketing activity, including PR and reputation management.
In the last nine years Damien has worked at a number of web-based and Life Sciences companies, meaning that he understands how the industry is changing and the role that technology will play in defining the future of the sector. Not afraid to challenge the status quo, Damien has an instinct for creating compelling marketing communications that provide market differentiation and engage audiences.
Damien is a sports enthusiast and can often be found competing in any sporting event he can find from Triathlons to Adventure Races.
